Ruby Gem for intra-site messaging? (think LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)

Many sites have communication via the site (instead of via email). Examples:

• LinkedIn: Click "Inbox" at the top of the screen.
• Facebook: Click "Messages" in the left sidebar.
