How to have android:ellipsize="marquee" fade both sides of the text?

I have an Android TextView. The text that the TextView contains is larger than the TextView. I would like to center the text such that both the left as well as the right sides of the text are truncated and faded (i.e. like how the ellipsize = marquee currently fades the right side of text that is truncated, I would like the marquee to fade both the right and the left so that the user just sees th开发者_C百科e center portion of the text with the right and left both extending beyond the text view being truncated and faded at the edges). Is this possible? I have searched and can't seem to find anything on this.
