Ruby on Rails 2.3.5 Slow Start up Times

I was wondering if there is a way to improve rails start up times ?

I currently have a site in production mode, but it takes about a good five or more seconds to start up. I found this link and I tried th开发者_运维百科e patch, but rvm doesn't recognize the -n command.
