Jquery UI Li sortable not working in Internet explorer

I have implemented exactly the one described in this link and the demo can be seen using this url . But i tested in Internet explorer and it dosen't work. it works fine in firefox. Any help is seriously appreciated.The demo also dosen't work in the Internet explorer 9.

jquery 1.2.6 and jquery-开发者_StackOverflow中文版ui-1.8.11.custom .
