Bulk load images with Ajax (load images en masse)

I want to load images in my website en masse, and开发者_运维问答 display a "Loading Image" message until the primary image load is complete.

I used < asp:update panel > but the images are being loaded piecemeal.

Could anyone please provide me a sample of how to do this?
