Tweets display from another social network sites at twitter

Is there any API that twitter uses to display the facebook/linkedln status in twitter users page

Exactly what i need to know is do twitter has any way(api) to display the status from other social networhing site like facebook and linkedin.I have seen the twitter tweets displayed in other social n/w sites but couldn't get answer for 开发者_开发知识库alternate
