Turning on image module in my netbeans platform app

I want to use the editor for image file t开发者_C百科ypes available in netbeans IDE in my platform app. That is I want to be able to open the image files for viewing. I have built the module 'org.netbeans.modules.image' from the source and included in my suite. It is getting loaded (can see from the log) but the image file types are not recognized by the Favorites window.
