Lightweight JVM Instrumentation to find unused code

I was wond开发者_如何转开发ering if there is any lightweight way I could instrument a production JVM to gather information over a period of some months to gather statistics on unused code in my code base.

File this under "experimental science project". But the invoke dynamic feature coming in JDK7 was used in an interesting low-overhead test coverage prototype.

Maybe a bit too bleeding-edge today, but interesting once Java 7 is out.
